Sara has a beautiful apartment in the Eastern side of Amsterdam. We’re talking about more than 100 square metres. She lives there with her adorable little girl, and one fine day she decided to start a full makeover of her apartment. One of the goals was to enlarge the living room space, to give her daughter more playing space.

As a completely new customer, the first task for us was to gain her trust and introduce ourselves as a reliable team. Back then we didn’t have a website, but we did have content about past works, so we gave a very good picture of our capabilities and expertise, and we inspected the site over an in-person meeting. I would lie though, if I didn’t say that being both Italian has helped quite a bit. Trust is at the same time the customer’s and the construction company’s best and most powerful asset.

As you can see here below, the project entailed a wide range of different tasks and sub-projects, and kept us busy for almost a month. We had several cross-check and catch-up moments with Sara, who from time to time helped us ensure the high level of quality that she was looking for.

We proceeded with the following:

• Complete removal of old floor, and installation of a new one in PVC

• Complete removal of the old kitchen, and replacement with a new one

• Removal of old radiators and installation of new, low-consumption ones

• Plastering and painting of all walls and ceilings

• Electrical implants installation and readiness all over the house

• Installation of door frames, and doors montage

• Construction of new wall next to the stairs

• General finishing

This has been a rather dynamic work, with several adjustments in course, and an acceleration to be able to deliver all works within the Christmas week. We didn’t really have any specific challenges, and we steamrolled through our long working days to conclude everything within the desired and agreed upon timeline.
