Sorin and Alina: when friends turn into customers… for the sake of their bathroom

Sorin and Alina have been a couple since a long time, and when they moved to the Netherlands they decided to go and live in the beautiful Den Haag. They purchased their property a few years ago. And at some point, there came the need to renovate their bathroom. Hey Sorin, thanks again for taking the time — and for trusting us with your bathroom makeover! First question first, could you please re-state what did we do for you?Sorin:
You completely renovated our bathroom — from the old tiles and plumbing to a new walk-in shower, lighting, and all the finishes. It was a full rebuild, not just a refresh. The result looks like something from a design magazine, but it’s also very practical, which is exactly what we wanted.Filippo:
Great! And talking about the very start of the project, when was the moment when you and Alina thought that you were going to trust us?
Sorin:
From the first visit, honestly. We know you guys are good, but of course friendship is friendship and business is business. You came over, explained everything in detail, gave clear options, and respected the budget we discussed. I’ve dealt with contractors before, and you can tell right away when someone knows their craft and when they don’t. With Aannemer MACS, everything felt professional from day one.Filippo:
Good to know that you didn’t give us a free pass from day one only because of our personal rapport. Always good to be a little bit challenged. Next question, was there a specific ‘wow’ moment, and if so when did it occur?Sorin:
The first time we saw the new tiles and how perfectly they were aligned — that was the moment. As we know, Alina is very detail-oriented, and usually, she finds something to complain about. I love her also because of that (laughing). This time, she didn’t. Everything was straight, clean, and done with precision.Filippo:
As I always tell George, if you teach us to raise the bar, you pay us a favor. What is that you particularly liked on the way we handled the whole thing? Is there something specifically that stands out?Sorin:
Communication and discipline. Every step was explained, the workers were on time, and the place was kept tidy even during construction. Also, because the whole team is Romanian, there was an understanding of how to get things done — no excuses, just work until it’s perfect.Filippo:
Let’s imagine a friend of yours (ideally someone we don’t know yet) is thinking about a renovation — what would you tell them about your experience with Aannemer MACS?Sorin:
